How can I start my project?
Getting started with ezsite is simple and flexible. Choose the approach that best suits your preferences and resources:
Prompting: ezsite A prompt-based system streamlines website creation by making it intuitive. Simply enter your project details in the prompt box, and the more specific your description, the better the results will be. For example, you might write: "Create a sports recruiting site for high school students. The design should feature a light blue background with white text, include sections for different sports, athlete profiles, and a search function for college scouts. Add a responsive navigation menu and integrate social media sharing buttons." Start with clear and detailed prompts, and refine or adjust your project as needed by providing additional instructions or making specific requests for changes.
Duplicating: You can duplicate any public project from the community, allowing you to use its current state as a foundation and expand upon it. This method is ideal for exploring new concepts, making modifications, or experimenting with different versions.
Using Popular prompts: If your design is among the popular prompts listed in the ezsite, clicking the buttons listed in Popular Prompts will automatically generate a website.
How to enable a database to store data?
To store form submissions in the built-in database, simply tell the AI in chat:“Store the form submissions in the ezsite database.”
How can I see my store data?
To view your store data, click the "Project Data" button. This allows you to access the data in your database, where you can filter it similarly to querying the database.
How to enable AI in your apps?
Basic built-in AI functionality will be enabled automatically. No additional settings are needed.
How to change the ezsite.host domain?
Click “Sites” in the sidebar to access the domain settings page.
For free users: Custom domains cannot be set.
For Pro or Premium users: To add a custom domain, simply click the "New domain" button. Once you've done that, you can select a deployed project to associate with your custom domain.
What should I add to the Knowledge?
The Knowledge section in ezsite acts as a comprehensive blueprint for your project. It's where you can outline crucial details such as functionality requirements, design specifications, project objectives, and relevant business or industry insights. By structuring this information into distinct categories—like Project Overview, Key Features, Design Guidelines, and Business Context—you enable the AI to gain a deeper understanding of your project's needs. Moreover, you can directly reference these categories in your prompts, ensuring that the AI's responses are clear, consistent, and precisely aligned with your project's specifications. This approach leads to more accurate and customized coding outcomes, tailored specifically to your requirements.
How to add your own image/videos in the app?
Click the "+ Assets & Knowledge" button within the prompt window. On the new page, select the "Asset" tab, where you can add your own images, videos, and other files to include in your app.
Can I see the mobile previw?
Yes, you can view the mobile layout. To do so, click the "Toggle Mobile View" icon located on the right side of the preview window.
How to fix a “Preview page blank” issue?
If the preview page appears blank, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Refresh the page to see if that resolves the problem.
Restore to a previous version: Click the "History" button in the top-left corner of the preview window to roll back to the last working version.
If the page remains blank, type the following message in the chat: "I'm seeing a blank page, please check and fix this."
Can I export the code files for my website?
Yes, you can export your website's code files without deploying the project. To do this, follow these steps:
Navigate to the website project you wish to download.
Click the Code tab located at the top of the preview panel.
Click the Download Files button, which is situated at the bottom-left corner, to download the code files.
